Documenting the Death of Philadelphia Schools

In 2016 Philadelphia closed 24 public schools, about 10 percent of the city’s total, largely backing a plan by the school district to erase a huge budget deficit.

FORMER WEST PHILADELPHIA HIGH SCHOOL CLOSED IN 2013 - CURRENTLY BEING RENOVATING FOR APARTMENTS 

M.H. STANTON ELEMENTARY CLOSED IN 2013, IT WAS THE 24TH CLOSURE. ADDED LATE AND SOMEWHAT UNEXPECTED AS ONLY 23 SCHOOLS WERE ORIGINALLY SET TO CLOSE.
